if this is the last time

Heyyyy lieve mensen, Wow this week was absolutely crazy. A lot of emotions. Again, lol. I'm gonna miss this place so much!!!! - went to Kinderdijk for pday last week, GORGEOUS weather and it just happened to be free that day. Amazing. - dying temple trip on Wednesday... it hurt my heart cuz it means I'm leaving but the temple always brings peace :) lekker kapsalon erna, je weet hoe het gaat - finallyyyy stopped on the afsluitdijk on the way to the temple!! Only took me 10 months but I did it.  - back to back appointments and 12 hour days a lot this week. ....and instead of relaxing when you get home, you get to pack instead. It's a #miracle I made it through - said goodbye (💔) to some freaking amazing people this week. I expected the tears at Petra's, but when Soyla and Kemal read my note and both broke down crying I got caught a little off guard... Kemal kept thanking me specifically for what I've done for them. It wasn't a lot, I promise haha. But I'm so

Afscheid nemen is altijd moeilijk 💔

Hoi lieve mensen!! I hope y'all are doing good ❤️ I had a good week, just veryyyy hard haha...  We were at Petra's on Wednesday, helping her build her house. I was able to make it through more of it than I did last week haha!! I was mostly helpful 😅 we got done, and I sat down on the floor cuz I was tired. I was sitting listening to Petra en Zr Thomas talk and realized how much I was going to miss Petra, coming to her house every week and learning from her. I definitely started crying. Just sitting on the floor in her unfinished living room, crying because I will miss her... I'm just grateful I still have one more week. We had mission conference this week!! And our Christmas party. It was the bestttttt. It was in Brussels, België so I finally got to see that part of the mission haha! 🇧🇪 I loved being able to see everyone. I was able to share my testimony as a departing missionary. It was good, I was very emotional through the whole thing. I love my mission and I love Lee

Z Weave: aan het GEDIJEN

Hoi jullie :) Once upon a time, in a land far up north, there lived a sister missionary. We'll call her Z Weave. She lived a long and happy life, serving the Lord as His missionary. And this is part of her story :) Z Weave had a great week! Here are some things she did: - slept a lot - cried a lot - learned a few new Dutch words, shout-out to the taal elders. Ik ben nog gedijen vrees niet iedereen ✌️ - had Thanksgiving dinner, it was lekker. Happy Thanksgiving iedereen ik ben dankbaar voor jullie :) - went and filmed a music video!! It was fun, I love music and Christmas and my medezendelingen. Was a little bit aan het sterven but hey we made it through. - had our one (1) branch activity of the year!! Had a record turn out of 36 people and it was fantastic. And I was able to stay through the whole thing #blessings - couldn't sleep one night cuz I'd slept all day, so I wrote in my journal until 12:30. Or so. Then I was finally able to fall asleep. - went to another Christmas

Hagedissen 🦎

Hoi hoi jullie, hoe gaat het?? Ok so here's some cool stuff that happened this week: - we got rear ended, ✨️again✨️ luckily it left no mark and we were only going 15 km an hour but mannnn I need to stop - did language study at the library, I read a book about dinosaurs in honor of Isaac (love you bro see you soon) and learned my favorite words of the week, struisvogel en hagedissen:) - had dinner with Bep, she gave us chocolate letters and I love her that's all 😭🥰 - literally slept all day Saturday, my body said *no* - gave a talk in church on Sunday, it was a little short and my body was not doing great by the end, but hey we made it through!! - went to Apeldoorn for Christmas concert rehearsals!! - went to Den Haag and the mission office yesterday, I still wasn't feeling well so that was great. I was able to get a priesthood blessing and that was very nice :) I'm so grateful for the incredible people I get to serve with and how much support they give!! I decided the

Six is not that many.

Hallo iedereen!! Ik hoop dat jullie een fantastische week hebben gehad :) ik ook, trouwens. - went to Delft last pday!! Turns out the more delft stores you go in, the more things you will buy.  - I bought a delft nativity!!!! Y'all I'm so excited hahaha, who needs clogs when you have a delft nativity. 🇳🇱🎄 - we went in delft stores that ranged from PROFESSIONAL don't look at it cuz you can't afford to breathe on it, to this one where a lady was sitting there painting the very delft pieces that were all over this amazing room. It was so cool :) - also there was a Christmas store. Yes. It made me very happy. You can see the picture by clicking on the link below. 👇 - Richard, our friend that we've been meeting with for months, has been very distant lately. Leaving us on read, the likes. Prayers for him please 🙏  - our other promising friend who is super cool also texted us and said she doesn't believe in the Book of Mormon. That one hurt too.  - BUT we have 4 r

LEEUW-WEAVER

Heyyyy jullieeee Wow this week was SO good. Veel dingen heeft gebeurt. Veel mooie dingen :) - went to a castle on pday!! SO mooi, holy cow when I picture a castle this is what I see haha it was the best - WENT TO THE TEMPLE oh my gosh you know it was better than the castle cuz it's GOD'S castle. It made me so happy. I got to see a ton of awesome missionaries, it was so much fun to spend time with them. And the amount of LOVE and PEACE I felt in the temple is crazy. Man I can't wait to go every week again! If you have a temple nearby please go for me this week cuz it's the best haha :) - made monster cookie bars for my district #lekerrrr I love my district they're actually just quality people - might have gone on a date..? It was unintentional, I promise 👀😂 we met up with someone we'd been talking to on Facebook and he had a friend and he bought us ice cream. It was a little awkward but also just really funny, we might be helping him learn English so stay tuned

You CAN get pulled over on a bike

Halloooooo iedereen!! Some weeks are just ....gek lol. There are some days that just feel like REAL mission days 😂 - Zr Hanny fell off her bike - the same night, I almost got hit by a car on my bike. (I didn't. Also I had the right of way, it wouldn't have been my fault) - I fell off my bike (a first on my mission) - a very nice man saw it happen, invited us into his café that's very much not in business, and proceeded to give us samplings of what I think was baklava. I've never had baklava before--it was lekker haha! He spoke a tiny bit of Dutch and Arabic, so that communication was fun - decided we deserved kruidnoten (a Dutch Christmas cookie 🎄) as a reward after street contacting and me falling off my bike, so we went to try and find the kruidnoten store - it was raining at this point - then I got pulled over on my bike for riding where I'm not supposed to. They asked for my ID, got my statement lol (I had NO idea there were places you could get fined for ridi

KLEINE POMPOENEN 🎃😁

It's the most wonderful time of the year again. The time of year that has tiny pumpkins. And I LIVE for tiny pumpkins, I absolutely love them. I finally bought some last Tuesday, because they're the best and bring me so much happiness:) You can't buy happiness, but you can buy tiny pumpkins and sing along to Christmas music and let's be real--that's the same thing. There was also a lot of Christmas music played this week, it's in full swing hehe. We haven't put the tree up yet but we are planning that party, I'll let you know how it goes. 🎄😁 Other bijzondere gebeurtenissen van deze week:  - spent literally 20 extra hours in the car, going from Apeldoorn to Utrecht and Gouda and Den Haag and back to Leeuwarden again every time. Geweldig.   - Zonecon!!!! Mijn lievelings. I was a little sad cuz I wasn't doing anything musically. ...until the APs look at me 2 minutes before the meeting start and say hey Zr Weaver, you're playing right?? ....no I do

Go be a majestic little birdy 🐦🦅

Hey jullie :) Sometimes I wonder if my week is even worthy of an email, but at this point I can't skip it haha 🤷‍♀️ - kerst muziek? FULL SWING if you aren't listening to Christmas music yet let me be the first to tell you you're MISSING OUT there's too much good gevoelens erin to wait until Christmas time.  - had like 5 or 6 11-hour days this week. I've been exhausted. Haha. Please don't. And just take care of yourself, you're doing great:) - decided to bike 25 minutes (8 kilometers) to a different library Monday night! The sunset was GORGEOUS on the way there and it was pitch black on the way back. Doing it for the memories, #noregrets 🚲🚴‍♀️ - despite alles that absolutely CRAZY was this week, we found two new people to teach!! Wonder in and of itself haha :) - one of the new people we found street contacting last Sunday. He was SO excited to meet us. ...he just never texted us back :/ BUT THEN we got a self referral from him 6 days later!! Turns out we&

I have zero creative titles

Hallo iedereen!! Hope your week was gezellig:) - went cello street contacting!! It was fun, needs a few tweaks but it'll work lol 😅 - accidentally found the most GORGEOUS path by a canal right by our house, hello morning runs and comp study outside haha 😍 - successfully did NOT get tboned this week, that's always a plus - made German pancakes with pears. It was weird, don't know that I'd recommend it again haha! - how many fingers do you have on your right hand? If you're like most people, it's probably five. That's how many music projects or musical numbers or musical whatever I'm currently involved in. Five fingers isn't that many but five music things kind of is. I'm just glad my talents are being used even if I am a little stressed 🤷‍♀️😅 - had dinner with familie Stein!! We were able to sing a few songs with Zr Stein on the guitar, it was #GEZELLIG and made me happy :) - happened to run into a family visiting Leeuwarden with their father,

no i said DONT get hit....

Dear reader, This email is sponsored by my latest hit single, "Losing My Mind in the Median" -- the newest release by Zr Weaver! Featuring her district, with a special appearance by the Driver of the Red Car. Only on her newest album called t-boned. But more on that soon ;) - conference was amazing!! I loved it. Always so good to hear inspiring messages from the servants of God!! I've already gone back and listened to President Nelson's words for us. I love him :) - went down to Gouda! Spent lunchtime in the centrum, then spent a couple hours trying to write a mission anthem. I don't write music so idk who put me in charge but I do have opinions so I'll share them 🤷‍♀️😂 - took it a little slower, cuz sometimes you need that. It's been a little rough recently.  - watched the last session of conference with our district and made french toast afterwards for dinner!! If you ever need someone to plan something or get things moving, I'm your girl 😉 was pr

I GOT TO PLAY THE ORGAN 😭

Yall It finally happened The day I've been waiting for me whole mission, that I honestly thought would never come We were in a fancy church and I asked if I could play the organ THEY SAID YES. Anyways, that's all. That was my week. :) Haha just kidding, but definitely a highlight ervan 😂😂 here are a few other things that happened --> - zusters pday in Amsterdam!! I went to the Anne Frank huis again and the Van Gogh museum. I got to play an organ in a church and I was GRINNING the whole time, pics and videos below ;) - we had dinner with Bep!! She asked if we could stay in touch by letter when we went home, she literally got out her address book and had us both write down our addresses and gave us her address too 😭 tell me WHY Leeuwarden is actually the best place to be, I love these people so much!! - had a regional relief society conference for everyone in the mission!! All the zusters were there, it was fun to see everyone! We took pictures by the temple together afterw

Oldehoeve?? Geklommen ✔️

Hallo iedereen!! Ik hoop dat jullie warm en droog hebben deze week gebleven, want ik niet haha! - We had dinner with familie Stein. Afterwards Zuster Stein was showing us around their new house. I asked her about her 5 guitars that she has!! So she got them all out of their cases and was telling us about them. Then she plugs in her bass guitar and starts going ham. 😂 She put in a CD with Kenny Rogers and some Dolly Parton and was playing along with the bass line. And let me tell you, a 4-foot-something Dutch lady in her mid fifties shredding the bass guitar, THAT is a sight to see it definitely made my week!! 😂 - Went to institute and listened to Hans Noot, one of the legendary members in the Netherlands, expound on Isaiah. In Dutch. It blew my mind. He's working on translating Isaiah into Dutch again but more correct this time and wow my brain was 🤯 - Had exchanges with the Emmen zusters!! Zr Morrise came to party in Leeuwarden with me, and we partied HARD. It's always so f

wait i dont even speak dutch

Hoi jullie! Hope y'all have had a gezellig 7 days since the last time I sent an email :) - We went to Ameland last pday! It's an island in our area. We tried to visit a member that lived there, she wasn't home and her husband didn't seem interested. But we got to go to the lighthouse and the beach!! May have missed our bus on the way back, meaning we missed our ferry too. It was the best part of my day haha it was hilarious! #lekkerislandchillen - Had taal studie with my favorite member again! She gave us a whole tour of her house while telling us about Christmas traditions in the Netherlands and in her family. ACTUALLY the best :) she made gebakde liver for us for dinner! Chicken liver with apples, bacon, onions, peas, and rice. ... probably one of the weirder dishes I've had on my mission. But it was good! 🤷‍♀️😂 - ZONE CONFERENCE let's goooo - We have these things called a surprise toespraak, basically it's to scare everyone into writing a 5 minute talk

Just Don't Get Hit 💪🚲

Hallo iedereen!! The weather is starting to get cooler and I'm so excited, I love fall!! I can't wait for the leaves to start changing its going to be absolutely GORGEOUS. And sweater weather is the best, catch me living my best life in Leeuwarden :) - TWO people we're meeting with--our friend,  Richard, and a less-active, Wieke--just decided to stop smoking this week. It was the coolest thing. I've noticed God prepares people better than they realize sometimes. And YES please stop smoking it's bad for your health and God will bless you extra for it haha!! - Did service for someone! We were weeding her backyard and she asked us to pull two stumps out. The selection of garden tools was minimal, so we literally just ...pulled them out. #sterkezusters 💪 - went to the market, got delicious gyros for lunch. Sometimes I remember I'm living in the Netherlands and it kinda blows my mind haha! - I don't understand why this place constantly has the prettiest sunsets

Cheese croissants & the temple 🥐

Hoi jullie! This week has been wild!! But so amazing too :)) - Stayed at the mission home Tuesday night! It was my first time being there, it was so much fun. I'll always treasure the memory of sitting on the couch in my pajamas, talking to Sister Watson in her pajamas, and seeing President Watson walk in in a white shirt and tie and shorts after a long zoom meeting 😂 - I got up early to help President make breakfast! Seriously one of my favorite parts of the week. I learned how to make cheese croissants and boiled eggs! (Don't tell anyone it's taken me this long to learn how to boil eggs I'm trying haha) It was a very gezellig morning and I love President Watson!! - orientation day at the mission office!! Got to see SO many of my favorite people, man I love this. And I got to go to the TEMPLE again!!!!!!! 😁😁 it was a great day. That's all :) - We had a few extra minutes one night, Zr Hanny looked at me all excited and was like "street contacting?!?" ..

Week 17: I made it to the mission field!! 🥳

Beste iedereen op mijn email lijst, Week 1 of another great transfer!! I'm training Zuster Hanny from Utah, and she's pretty cool :) We get along well and that's always a BLESSING in a companionship!! - We had transfers!! ....the elevator was broken, natuurlijk. We live on the 7th floor. Natuurlijk. So we got to haul all of Zr Flake's luggage and our garbage down 7 flights of stairs. I forgot my coat and it was raining, but luckily it didn't rain the whole day 😅 - Went to transfers!! Saw almost all the sisters in the mission, all the amazing office people, and picked up mijn groentje fresh from the plane and the MTC! - PRAYERS WERE ANSWERED the elevator was fixed by the time we made it back home so we didn't have to carry luggage UP 7 flights of stairs 😭 - It's taken me 6 months, but we finally figured out how to get on the church roof!! Or rather, Zr Hanny did lol. I stopped trying after the first two times but if you persevere and someone else leaves the

Literally Leeuwarden for Life :))

Hallo jullie!! Some highlights from this week--> - We met with a less active member who came to church last week. I've never met her before, but we had quite the ...interesting... conversation with her haha! She told me she couldn't understand my closing prayer in church cuz I talk too fast. So my goal recently has been to slow down a little bit 🤦‍♀️😅 - Said less active member has 2 cats, one is very shy and doesn't like people. But she came up to me and was checking me out, I sat there petting her for a few minutes and the lady was amazed. She said she hadn't seen that happen in the 6 years that she's had her!! I am now a cat whisperer, thank you Savannah (that's the cat's name 🐈) - Played my cello in church!! They asked me to do a musical number and I chose cello instead of piano for perhaps the first time in my life, I was kind of proud of myself haha! - There were SO MANY gorgeous sunsets and moons this week - We went to the monument for the first

it's pretty much Christmas 🎄

Ok so I know Christmas is still a ways away. But I'm just going to start by saying I recently bought my second nativity in two weeks, and I will definitely be purchasing more in the coming months. 😁 We had a visit yesterday with one of my favorite members and I asked her the story behind Sinter Klaas. Basically, we took a lot of our Santa Claus from him--we got the whole story and some history and quite a few Dutch traditions. And it made my day!! And my week, as you can tell :D Anyways I will definitely be adding some Dutch Christmas traditions to my life in the future. - We had a bunch of visits with some of my favorite members, I LOVE these people so much. That's all.  - interviews with my mission president and his wife!! Always a highlight :) - I got to play the piano, the organ, and the cello this week!! Not for meetings or anything haha, just for fun for longer than usual. And it made me sooo happy, I miss playing music. - One of our dinners this week was a language stud

5 maanden in Nederland

Hallo iedereen! - We had zone conference this week! I love getting to hear from my mission leaders and getting to see other missionaries. I played prelude and the opening song on the organ, and man I loved it :) I miss music! But I'm so grateful for the chances I have to share it still! - We had a really good lesson with our friend Richard! He invited us and two of our YSAs over to his house this week for our next lesson, so that's exciting! Missionary work here is different than other places. I'll read emails or hear from other missionaries that they met someone and put them on date 3 days later or they had a few more baptisms this week or something like that. But here we celebrate the little things because those are big too!! It's exciting to see Richard still progressing!  - Don't tell anyone this haha, but I've played the cello more frequently on my mission than I have years. Even when I was in orchestra I would rarely pick it up and practice outside of clas

26 juli 2022 🇳🇱

Hallo iedereen!! The weeks go by so fast. It's insane. But during the week it feels like forever. Unless it goes fast too, in which case time is just a little odd haha :) Here's a few things that happened this week! - I gave a training in one of our missionary meetings! I was supposed to have 30 minutes for the whole thing plus role plays, I ended up with about 6. But we ended on time and I got through the most important things, so I was pretty proud of that haha!! We even had time for a closing song ;) - all of our lessons for two days fell through. Not the coolest, but that's ok. - had exchanges with Zr Reynolds!! It was really fun, we partied hard and did lots of good work. - Zr Flake en ik got to call the youth of the P3 ward and talk to them about missions!! It was so much fun 😁 - I really can't think of other exciting things that have happened 🤷‍♀️ - we're teaching 2 people right now, if yall could pray for Andrea and Richard that would be great :) - my Dutc

De tempel was BIJZONDER.

Hallo iedereen!! I went to the temple on Wednesday and it was the best day of my life!! I was able to listen in Dutch and it made me so happy. Between how many times I went through before my mission and how much better my Dutch is getting, I understood so much :) It was just the best. :) We got lunch afterwards with our district and it was a great day!! We went to visit a sister in our ward on Thursday evening. They were having a huge festival called the Tall Ships Race. There were huge boats from all over the world, vendors, food trucks, it was wild. It was so much fun though haha!! I've never seen so many tall ships. Did we miss our train there because of a 10 minute nap/brain break I needed? Yes. Was it worth it? Yes. 🤷‍♀️😂 We had a lady show up to church on Sunday with her son. She asked me in English if anyone spoke Spanish. I said no, but I can ask! She sat through sacrament and ended up talking with the friend a member had brought with her who spoke Spanish. I translated S

I GET TO GO TO THE TEMPLE TOMORROW

Hi everyone:) The day I have been waiting for my entire mission is finally here, and I found out about it two days ago. :) I get to go to the Den Haag temple tomorrow and I could not be more excited :) I LOVE the temple. It has been 353 days since I've last been to the temple, and I have missed it so bad. I am beyond excited I have the opportunity to go to the temple on my mission! If you haven't been to the temple recently you should make time to go. Because the temple is amazing and I love it!! Go again for me this week ;) Anyways. I just love the temple and I can not wait to go tomorrow :) I'm pretty excited :)) 😁😁 Other than that this week has been good haha! No flat tires. We did have a few run in's with flirty drunk guys, but luckily they were in a boat in the canal so it was easy for us to walk away. Count your blessings, haha! I was a little sick for most of the week so it was a little slower. I did a lot of catching up on sleep and that good stuff. My music v

...then he kissed my hand.

Hoi iedereen!! WAUW this has been an absolutely crazy week. And I've loved pretty much every minute of it :) - Wednesday we had a lesson with two really sweet members in our branch! One of them asked if we wanted to go on a walk, so she took us on an unplanned one hour foot tour of Harlingen. It's really pretty! 🤷‍♀️😅 it was so much fun haha!! - Thursday we spent the day in Zwolle filming our music video!! It was so much fun. I've loved having my cello and being able to play it!! We got Turkish food for lunch and it was amazing. - Friday we did service with Petra at her house!! I love her so much :) We had avondeten with Bep, who I also adore. I've met some of the best people in the world here in Leeuwarden:) WE GOT TO GO TO AN ORGAN CONCERT and it was the BEST EVENING of my entire LIFE. Holy cow hahaha it made me so happy. I was sitting there smiling almost the whole time. Man I miss playing the organ. And going to concerts. And the brother in our ward who invited us

'Een hele bos werk' 💇‍♀️

Hallo iedereen!! I got a haircut this week from our RS president -- she commented on how thick my hair was, saying it was a whole lot of work 😂 But she also said it was very healthy, shout out to my mom for helping me there haha! This week was so good! We were really busy and had a lot of fun.  - We recorded the audio to our music video! It always takes way longer than you think it will haha. We're recording the video for it this Thursday and I'm pretty excited! - We went to our RS activity! We took a little road trip around Friesland, visiting all the kleine dorpjes (the little towns) to see more of the countryside! It was so fun, I love our RS :) - We did exchanges with the sisters in our district!! Zr Dunford en Zr Packard came and spent the day with me in Leeuwarden. So much fun!!!  - We made a new friend this week named Andrea!! We've met with her 4 times in the past week. She's so excited to learn and has so many questions!! She's told us so many times that s

GOD IS GOED 😁

God is goed, that's all I have for this week :)) BUT we'll go into a little more depth: - We had interviews with my mission president and his wife this week!! SO good, I love them :) - I GOT MY CELLOOOOO it made me so happy - I'm part of a music video now with my cello, so that's taking up all our time this week. I've literally never arranged anything before so it kind of stretched my musical abilities. But I didn't realize how much I missed playing with other people 😭 there's this certainly feeling you only get playing music with other people. I haven't had that feeling this much my entire mission. It made me so happy. We were sitting there playing and I was just grinning because it felt so good to play with people again!! And to play the cello again. Ahhh. Just God is goed, dat is alles. - We've had lots of service with our members recently, which has been so good! I love them so much. I feel like I might be leaving at the transfer, which breaks m

avondetens, dienstbetoon, en een zegening!

Hallo iedereen!! Ik heb de sterkste verlang om deze hele email in Nederlands te schrijven--maar ik weet dat meestal van jullie zullen het niet begrijpen, dus ik zal het in Engels doen. Helaas lol :) - We had 5 meals with members this week!! I've never had that on my mission before. It was kind of amazing.  - We went with one of my favorite members to her patriarchal blessing!! It was amazing. Even being in the same house when she was getting it had the strongest spirit. :) and I just love her, so it's awesome haha :)) ...it included the best Chinese food I've ever had afterwards, so that was fun haha. I tried ginger ice cream and was pleasantly surprised!! - I made PB cookies out of 4 ingredients. They were good, probably won't try it again though. I've had better :/ 😂  - We went to two castles/museums last week for Pday!! It was way fun. - We had a lesson with our friend from last week! Her whole family was there which was awesome. ...but also her neighbor, who wa

a cello...??

Hallo iedereen! - We drove to Den Haag this week!! Instead of thinking things through, we accidentally added 4 hours onto our drving that day... Not the smartest decision, but the Lord's work gets done in spite of missionaries who don't always know what they're doing haha! 😅 - We had zone conference this week with Elder Kopischke from the seventy! We talked about the Book of Mormon and how important it is. It really has so much power!! If you haven't read it in a while, please go pick it up. Just one verse can change your day :) - I played a musical number in zone conference!! I normally go into musical numbers hoping they go perfectly. This one, I just went in with the desire to bring in the Spirit. That was it. And wow--I've never felt this way while playing a piece. It was really special and very spiritual. (And it still sounded really good, so that made me happy too ;) ) - We found THREE new people to teach this week!! That's a new record for me!!! One of o

Terschelling Gang 🛥🙌

Hoi iedereen!! This week was only 4 days. It still felt like a while haha! It's been a lot of fun! Thursday we went to Terschelling, one of the islands in our area, to give a lady a Book of Mormon she had requested!! We took a two hour ferry ride to this island so she could get her copy. Unfortunately, she wasn't home when we stopped by... We left it in her door, and spent the rest of our lunch and dinner hours exploring. We did weekly planning on the island too. We saw about as much as you could of it with only walking and one bus ride!  Friday we needed to go to Den Haag. Some other sisters were going to be there around the same time and wanted to go to lunch. I was all down for it, I just didn't have any money left. I had used all the missionary funds and needed to wait for the next refill. I had no desire to use my personal money, but I still wanted to eat. I said a prayer and asked Hemelse Vader to help me out. I didn't know how He would, I just knew He could. I or

Ze blijft in Leeuwarden :))

Hallo jullie!! What a week :) ...yes, every week is like that, but still haha??  - We got a referral that wanted a Book of Mormon this week!! ...turns out they live on the islands that are in our area, so tomorrow we're taking the ferry to Terschelling to drop off a Book of Mormon ;D Missionary work can be a lot of fun sometimes haha!! - We had interviews with President and Zuster Watson!! The amount of love I feel from them is incredible. They love and support each missionary in the best way that they can. They're trying to help us all learn how to live our lives and do missionary work at the same time!! Not always an easy task haha :) We celebrated President's birthday with him too which was so fun!! - We did a ton of service this week! One of the YAs in our branch is painting his apartment so we helped with that, we weeded a garden, and we scraped paint off doorways. All the good stuff! - There was a huge volleyball tournament this weekend!! People come from miles around

Hoiii

Hallo iedereen!! I'm very happy to report that my migraine is gone!! I was out for a little while on Wednesday. The drive to district council took more out of me than I'd like to admit... But it was still an awesome week!! - We're still meet with one of my favorite people every week to help her build her house :)) I learn sooo much from her every time we go, and it's not just about construction! - We had a language study with a really sweet sister in our branch!! Best idea ever. I feel wayyyyy more edumacated in het nederlands now. Still a ways to go, haha, but I've been feeling pretty good about it recently!! (...which probably means in a few days I'll start feeling pretty bad about it. Humility, folks ;) ) - We're going to Schiermonnikoog today with our district!! It's a little island north of our area. We're taking the ferry and renting bikes and I'm SO excited!!! (We played ultimate frisbee on the beach, saw a few light houses, biked a lot, a

Unfortunately, She Perished

Hallo iedereen!! This week was a little crazy! We had zone conference on Thursday, which was amazing!! I was able to play the organ and the piano during it, which I loved. Music and the Spirit just go together :))  Friday afternoon I got a pretty bad migraine... which led to me sleeping all Friday afternoon. Saturday my comp had a really important visa appointment we COULD NOT miss, but I also could not drive 5 hours.... or even open my eyes still... so our sweet STLs drove an hour and a half to pick us up, took my dear comp to her appointment, had all sorts of exchanges with other sisters in the zone, all while I was back at their apartment continuing to sleep the day away. We weren't sure if we were going to make it home that night cuz I still couldn't drive. But miracles happened and prayers were answered cuz we spent that night in our OWN beds back in Leeuwarden! Sunday was mother's day (fijne moedersdag iedereen <3) maar helaas ik was nog steeds ziek and got banned

THE TULIPS

Hoi iedereen!! Ok so all I can say is the Lord knew tulips were my favorite flower before He assigned me to the Netherlands. Andddd we're going to the tulip fields today and I'm SO EXCITED there will be SO MANY pictures taken and I'm just living my absolute best life right now and I love tulips so this is the best day ever. 😁😁 So please enjoy the many photos from the tulip fields and our impromptu trip to the beach haha :)) Anyways! On to the rest of my week haha :) - it was koningsdag in the Netherlands!! Everyone wears as much orange as they can. Because it's the King's birthday and orange is the national color. Natuurlijk. Helaas, we missed the majority of the festivities because we had an orientation meeting and spent the day traveling. But I made myself a headband and got to see a ton of my favorite missionaries!! - We tried to go visit one of our less active members that lives on an island up north. We made it up to the ocean!! We couldn't get our card t

Leeuwarden is de Leukste 🥳

Hallo iedereen!! Another p day, another email from Zuster Weaver haha :) This week has been good!! A lot of hard parts, but such is life. Sometimes I think I've learned everything I possibly could about being a missionary or having a companion. But it doesn't take me too long to be humbled again... 😅 We had some awesome teaching moments this week!! We had an impromptu lesson with a less active member I've never met before. She told us she'd literally been thinking about the elders the day before, then suddenly we showed up on her porch!! God knows you so well and He knows just what you need :)) We gave our most progressing friend back to the Lord this week... the fact that I knew enough Dutch for that lesson to go well was solely from the gift of tongues. The spirit was definitely present and we all parted ways uplifted and on good terms!! We had exchanges, an IND appointment for visa stuff, lots of driving time, and just a good old party up here in Leeuwarden :) I dro

Gewoon doen, gewoon ...don't

Hoi iedereen!! This week flew by, but it also crawled... haha :) There were a lot of ups and a lot of hard parts! But so it goes.  - I said bye to Z Lund this week... that was sad. But she's home now with her family, so that's happy:) - I saw Z Lay, my MTC comp!!!!!! She finally made it to Nederland and even though I'm not serving close to her yet, she's a lot closer now than we were before;) - I got my new comp!!! Z Medico is just out of training and we're ready to PARTY here in Nederland together.  - ...I translated for Sunday school at church!! Holy cow, the gift of tongues is real. It was wayyyy far from perfect, but she understood more than if I hadn't been doing anything!! I felt very accomplished and grateful for my studying and for the gift of tongues :)) - We went flower street contacting!! I was so proud of myself haha!! Between the two of us we have very little street contacting experience. But we did it!! And we met a lady who gave us her number and

So Apparently....

Hoi Iedereen!! Another exciting week has come and gone!! Time flies so fast on a mission. Here are some of the highlights of this week!!  - We recorded audio and video for a music video!! It won't come out for another few weeks, but it was so fun to be a part of.  - ...we got rear ended..? There were no dents in our bumper, just a few marks on the paint. And very little damage to the other car!! Definitely a blessing that it wasn't worse. We spent an hour or so working on paper work. If you're ever planning on filling an accident form out in Dutch, be sure to have your Google translate handy. Even then you still might not know what's happening.   - We had a few amazing lessons with some less active members in our branch!! I love seeing the effect the Spirit has on people. They start wanting to change, to make something better of our lives!! It's so fun to be a part of :))  - I'm driving now! Driving in the Netherlands is a little different than both VA and UT. I

Keukenhof en Algemene Conferentie 🌷

Hoi jullie!! This week was awesome. We went to the giant tulip festival in the Netherlands, called Keukenhof. It was AMAZING. I loved it. We did service that morning, we picked up trash on the way to the temple!! ...so I got to see the temple again, and it made my life :)) Then we spent 2 hours at Keukenhof and it was glorious. So pretty!! The next day it snowed... so that was good timing haha! I loved general conference too. It's one of my favorite weekends of the year!! We watched a session with our district which was fun. We ended up watching another with one of our favorite members who has started coming back to church. She told us afterwards that she probably would have turned it off had we not been there. The talks in that session had some heavier topics and it was clearly something she had needed to hear. I'm grateful we were able to do a little part of the Lord's work and help her hear some important things :) It's the last week of the transfer! I have a few ide
